Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain those search entries. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them only to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
The host may create ordinary logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to maintain the service and understand general readership. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools.
How We Use It
That limited information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell lists of visitors or construct individual visitor profiles.
External Services
County and state portals, library collections, archives, and outside search tools are separate services. Their own notices govern information submitted to them, including information entered through sponsored-result tools.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a website keeps. Because this service keeps very little, a request generally involves the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. Chapter 13, governs government-held data, but it does not make those county, city, or state records ours to change. Send a request about a public record to the office that controls it.
Policy Revisions
Any revised policy will appear on this page. Continued use after publication of an update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
